2014년 6월 4일(수) 오전 아넷 프롬 박사가 박물관을 방문하였습니다. 프롬 박사는 인디애나대에서 박사학위를 받은 민속학자이며 플로리다 국제대학교 박물관학 담당자입니다. ICOM-ICME 회장을 역임하였으며. 국제적 대소형 박물관 전시 자문 및 강연을 하고 있는 박물관전문가입니다. 대표 논저로 [유대인 집단의 민속학과 민족 정체성], [수집품 관리 방법과 그 지침에 대한 가이드] 등이 있습니다. 프롬 박사는 2009년 ICME 회장을 지내면서 『세계생활문화박물관위원회(ICME)』서울총회의 적극적 유치는 물론 성공적 개최에 크게 이바지하기도 하였습니다.
Annette B. Fromm, a folklorist and museum specialist, is Coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies program at Florida International University (FIU). Dr. Fromm has published articles and spoken widely on immigrant-ethnic groups in America, Jews in Greece, Greek folklore, Native Americans in museums, multicultural museums, and folk art. Fromm’s published “We Are Few, Folklore and Ethnic Identity of the Jewish Community of Ioannina, Greece” (2008). At FIU’s Frost Art Museum, she curated “Spiritual Healing: Shamans of the Northwest Coast” (2010) and “Reflections Across Time: Seminole Portraits” (2012). Fromm has taught numerous
workshops on folklore and folklife, American ethnicity and museum issues. Dr. Fromm was the President of the International Committee of Museums of Ethnography(ICOM-ICME).
